Library Visit

Primary 1 were fortunate enough to be invited to the Faifley library to hear "Poetry Stories" written by Joan Porter and illustrated by Jessica Excell.  The school were given 2 signed copies of the stories of "Little Terry Tiddlemouse and his countryside friends" and "Little Terry Tiddlemouse time for tea and dressing up".  The children loved hearing the stories and exploring the detailed illustrations.  The children were given the opportunity to ask the author questions about her stories and what inspired her to write these costumes.

The children enjoyed visiting the library and exploring the different kinds of texts available there.  The Faifley Library is a great resource in developing your children's reading skills.  Books can be borrowed frequently by taking out the free library card available from the library.

When the Halloween fairies came to visit...

Primary 1a and b loved learning all about Halloween. We couldn't believe our eyes when we came in to find the Halloween fairies had left us a potion to make for the witch. We had to use our maths skills for measuring, our talking and listening skills to follow instructions and our wonderful imagination to record the results of the potion!
